This is your invitation for personal growth and professional development as a member of the 29th class of Leadership Troy. You will explore your leadership style and develop a plan meeting goals that align with your values and passions. Graduates become part of a wonderful network of community leaders who share the goal of making our community better.

INTERNSHIP/RESEARCH PAPER REQUIREMENT

Included as part of the Leadership Troy experience is the requirement to complete one of the following experiences:
INTERNSHIP on a local COMMUNITY SERVICE BOARD from March through September. If chosen to be a participant in Leadership Troy and you choose an INTERNSHIP, you will be given an opportunity to pick your first, second and third internship choices from a supplied list of available boards. You will also be given dates and times of regular board meetings so your selection can appropriately fit your schedule. RESEARCH PAPER in a team effort of three or four individuals on a timely community topic. If chosen to be a participant in Leadership Troy and you choose a RESEARCH PAPER, you will be teamed with other participants to do a research paper on a topic selected by your team. Suggestions of topic ideas can be provided by the Troy Area Chamber of Commerce. ACTION TEAM PROJECT in a group effort of three or four individuals working on a project (not a research paper) that will benefit the community. If chosen to be a participant in Leadership Troy and you choose an ACTION TEAM PROJECT, you will be teamed with other participants to work and complete a project which will benefit the community. You and your team will select your own project. After reviewing the selections of the Leadership Troy participants, research paper, internship or project assignments will be made. We ask that you state your preference below. The Troy Area Chamber of Commerce/Leadership Troy reserves the right to cancel any of the options if there is not sufficient interest.

All applications must be received at the Troy Area Chamber of Commerce, 405 SW Public Square, Suite 330, Troy, Ohio 45373 by December 15th. All applicants will be notified of acceptance or non-acceptance by January 15th.

We must ask that participants commit to attend all NINE FULL DAY sessions of Leadership Troy. Are you and your employer willing to make such a commitment of time?

Financial assistance is available based on need. Anyone who wishes to be considered for financial assistance must obtain a financial assistance form from the Troy Area Chamber of Commerce and return the completed form with this application, or click here to fill out the form online. All applications are subject to confidential evaluations. Applicants should be aware that there may be more nominees than class size permits and candidates are selected exclusively on their own merits.
