Human Resource Council

Purpose: to promote the free exchange of information in the area of labor relations, including such issues as health care cost containment, fringe benefits, personnel practices, arbitration, NLRB, OSHA, EEOC, and learn more about the world of human resources and labor and employment law. Human Resource Professionals can exchange information and ideas related to HR management and learn new and innovative ways to deal with human resource issues at quarterly meetings.

  • Conducts quarterly Council meetings promote idea exchange— and include a professional speaker on a “hot topic” in human resource and a roundtable discussion. PHR, SPHR continuing education credit (1 hour) have been approved for these event speaker meetings.
  • Conducts quarterly seminars— the seminars are conducted by professional speakers on current hot topics in the human resource world. The seminars are three hours long and are approved for a three (3) hour PHR, SPHR continuing education credit.
  • Conducts a county-wide annual Wage / Salary / Benefit Survey
  • Participates in workforce development program

The Troy Human Resource Council is open to any Member of the Troy Area Chamber of Commerce.
